Auto Parts Recyclers Association of Australia scholarships are awarded to children of eligible employees of a recycler who is a financial member of a state or territory motor trade association or automobile chamber of commerce.
In order to be eligible for a scholarship, the child must be attending primary or secondary school and be able to provide proof of achievement in academic, sporting or community pursuits.
Scholarships are for $500 and only available to one child of an eligible employee per academic year.
Applications should be forwarded to your relevant state or territory Divisional Manager by close of business, Tuesday 23 March 2010.

2009 APRAA Yard Tour Round Up
In November 2009, APRAA members gathered in Fremantle, Western Australia to take part in the 2009 APRAA Yard Tour and Conference. A highlight of the APRAA calendar, the biennial APRAA Yard Tour and Conference celebrates and promotes best practice within the industry. The program is designed to facilitate networking and to provide parts recyclers with a forum to discuss new technologies and business practices.
During the Conference, delegates discussed the Australian Government’s Green Stamp Plus program, which is designed to facilitate ‘green’ business practices and compliance with Government regulation and the APRAA Accreditation Program, which seeks to improve the standards of parts recycling business and provides members with a platform in which to market their business to consumers. Delegates visited four automotive parts recycling businesses during the course of the weekend
